week 5 -- Avogadro's Hypothesis

Well, I got all the multiple choice questions on this link correct, which was gratifying. Interesting the people who come up with some brilliant thing and die before it's recognized, like Avogadro, and Zhang Zhong Jing, whose book wasn't popular until 1000 years after his death, but whose name we have to know for our exams 2000 years later! It really says something about having faith to pursue your dreams regardless of public opinion. I guess during Avogadro's life, people thought John Dalton was pretty hot, and now we're like "who? Oh, the guy that thought water was one part oxygen and one part hydrogen?" while chemists are drinking toasts to Avogadro annually.
